The Brunette is espresso with hazelnut, caramel and 7 Brew's mocha mix, which is what adds the chocolate. 7 Brew says the hazelnut and caramel "keep things smooth and cozy," with "a smooth, chocolatey finish." It comes hot, iced or as a frozen chiller.
It is the Blondie's darker sibling, and both go back to the beginning: QSR Magazine reported that 7 Brew's first stand in Rogers, Arkansas offered seven drinks, and the Brunette was one of them, alongside the Blondie. Where the Blondie is a breve made with half-and-half, the Brunette is a mocha, so it is chocolatey and lower in calories when hot or iced.
Brunette vs Blondie: Fewer Calories, More Sugar
A medium iced Brunette is 370 calories with 55 grams of sugar, 11 grams of fat and 120 mg of caffeine, according to 7 Brew's nutrition guide dated October 1, 2026. A medium iced Blondie is 480 calories with 38 grams of sugar. The Brunette comes out lighter because a mocha has less fat than a breve, but it has more sugar.
A medium hot Brunette is 420 calories, and a small has the same 120 mg of caffeine as a medium. The frozen chiller is far heavier than the iced drink: 650 calories and 260 mg of caffeine in a medium, 280 more calories than iced, and 910 calories with 340 mg in a large.
Sugar-Free Brunette: Less Sugar, Not Fewer Calories
7 Brew lists a Sugar-Free Brunette at 380 calories with 6 grams of sugar for a medium iced: 49 fewer grams of sugar, but slightly more calories than the regular Brunette. The guide lists 25 grams of fat for the sugar-free version, against 11 for the regular one, which accounts for the difference. 7 Brew does not explain it.
So if your goal is less sugar, it works. For calories it barely matters when iced: 10 more in a medium, 40 fewer in a large (460 against 500). As a frozen chiller it makes a big difference: a medium Sugar-Free Brunette chiller is 170 calories, against 650 for the regular one. The guide lists the sugar-free version with soy as well as milk.
Brunette Cold Brew and the Original Brunette Mocha
7 Brew also makes a Brunette Cold Brew: hazelnut and caramel in its cold brew. A medium is listed at 120 calories with 20 grams of sugar and 246 mg of caffeine, about a third of the calories of a Brunette and twice the caffeine. The sugar-free version is 60 calories. It does not have the mocha mix, so it is not chocolatey.
7 Brew's 2026 featured menu also had an Original Brunette Mocha: the regular Brunette topped with whipped cream and caramel drizzle. You can ask for the same toppings on a regular Brunette.
Brunette Brownie Cans at Walmart
7 Brew has sold a Brunette Brownie Chilled Espresso Mocha in cans at Walmart stores in Arkansas since March 2026, and at select Walmart stores nationwide since August 2026, for $2.98. It is not sold at 7 Brew stands. Tasting Table's review of the cans called it a solid canned mocha, though she did not find it tasted much like a brownie. 7 Brew does not list calories for the can. Its website says the can has about as much caffeine as one shot of espresso, while Walmart's product page says about 1.5 shots. Every can is on our 7 Brew canned drinks page.

If you find the Blondie too mild or too rich, the Brunette is the better pick: bolder, chocolatey and about 110 calories lighter as an iced medium. It costs the same as any 7 Original, $6.05 to $6.68 before tax at the six stands we checked on October 5 and 6, 2026, with most charging $6.05 (7 Brew prices).
