The Sweet & Salty is one of 7 Brew's seven signature drinks, the 7 Originals: espresso with salted caramel, white chocolate and 7 Brew's breve mix. The breve mix is half-and-half, which is what makes all of 7 Brew's breve drinks so creamy. 7 Brew sums it up as "Sweet. Salty. Nailed it."
You can order it hot, iced or as a frozen chiller, and add whipped cream, cold foam or a drizzle. Caramel drizzle suits it, and the caramel, white chocolate and dark chocolate drizzles come sugar-free too.
It was not one of 7 Brew's first drinks. QSR Magazine reported that the first stand's seven drinks were the Blondie, Brunette, Smooth 7, Cinnamon Roll, White Chocolate Mocha, German Chocolate and Triple 7. The Sweet & Salty has since taken one of those seven spots.

They are the two most popular 7 Originals, and both are breves. The difference is the flavor:

If you like salted caramel and find the Blondie too mild, the Sweet & Salty is the natural next step: sweeter and more distinct, and the customer ratings back that up.
Calories, and What Sugar-Free Saves
A medium iced Sweet & Salty is 520 calories with 52 grams of sugar, 25 grams of fat and 120 mg of caffeine, according to 7 Brew's nutrition guide dated October 1, 2026. That makes it one of the two highest-calorie iced 7 Originals, tied with the Smooth 7. A medium hot is 600 calories, while the medium frozen chiller is 490 calories with almost twice the caffeine of iced (233 mg). A small has the same caffeine as a medium; a large doubles it.
The Sugar-Free Sweet & Salty is 400 calories with 6 grams of sugar for a medium iced, a saving of 120 calories and 46 grams of sugar. The fat stays about the same, because the breve mix does not change. As a frozen chiller the difference is bigger: a medium Sugar-Free Sweet & Salty chiller is 200 calories, against 490 for the regular one. 7 Brew's guide lists the sugar-free version as containing soy as well as milk.
Customers Rate It, The Daily Meal Skipped It
Customers rate it very highly. On the ordering pages of the six stands, it had 142 ratings and scored about 93% positive, a little above the Blondie. It was the #2 "Most liked" item at the Walker, Louisiana and Garners Ferry Road, Columbia stands, and #3 at the North Beltline stand in Columbia.
One food writer disagreed. The Daily Meal's Sarah Dealy put it on her skip list in September 2026, finding that the salty side fell flat. She ordered her drinks small and made with almond milk, which takes away the creamy breve base this drink is built on.
The same ordering pages priced it like every 7 Original: $6.05 to $6.68 before tax on October 5 and 6, 2026, with most charging $6.05 and one price per drink, not one per size (7 Brew prices). Our best 7 Brew drinks page compares it with the rest of the menu.
The Lighter Sweet & Salty Macchiato
7 Brew's August 2026 "Back to Brew" menu had a Sweet & Salty Macchiato: white chocolate and salted caramel in a macchiato, topped with caramel drizzle. A macchiato is made with milk instead of breve mix, so it is a lighter way to get the same flavors. It was a limited-time drink, but you can still order a macchiato with salted caramel and white chocolate.

Is the Sweet and Salty better than the Blondie?
Customers rated it slightly higher at the six stands we checked, about 93% against 91%, though the Blondie has three times as many ratings. The Sweet & Salty is sweeter and saltier; the Blondie is milder.
Is there a lighter Sweet and Salty?
Two ways. The Sugar-Free Sweet & Salty is 400 calories as a medium iced, against 520. Or ask for a macchiato with salted caramel and white chocolate, which is made with milk instead of breve mix.
