Best 7 Brew Drinks: What Customers and Critics Actually Pick

"Best" is a matter of taste, so we did not just list our own favorites. We pulled together three kinds of evidence:

1. What 7 Brew itself calls its most popular drinks.
2. 1,738 customer ratings shown on the online ordering pages of six 7 Brew stands, checked October 6, 2026.
3. Seven reviews by food writers at Tasting Table and The Daily Meal, published in 2026.

Where those agree, you have a safe order. Where they disagree, we say so. We also used 7 Brew's own nutrition guide for the lightest drinks and the ones with the most caffeine.

What 7 Brew Says Is Most Popular

7 Brew calls the Blondie its "most loved 7 Original." Its printable menu labels the seven 7 Originals as "Our fan favorites." Those seven are:

"Breve" means the drink is made with 7 Brew's breve mix (half-and-half), which makes it richer and creamier than a latte. "Mocha" means it uses 7 Brew's mocha mix, which adds chocolate.

What Customers Rate Highest

Each 7 Brew stand's online ordering page shows customer ratings for its popular items, as a percentage of positive ratings and the number of ratings. We recorded every rating at six stands on October 6, 2026.

Top 3 "Most Liked" at Each Stand

The Blondie was #1 at every stand. Sweet & Salty made the top 3 at three stands, and the Cinnamon Roll and White Chocolate Mocha at two each.

Ratings Across All Six Stands

This table adds up every drink that had at least 25 ratings across the six stands. The "positive" figure is our own weighted average of each stand's percentage, so treat it as approximate.

What this tells you:

• The Blondie is by far the most-rated drink. It had 432 ratings, three times more than any other drink, which suggests it is also the most ordered.
• Most popular drinks score about 90%. The percentages do not separate them much.
• Smooth 7 stands out. It had the highest score of any drink with 50 or more ratings.
• Plain lattes and matcha lattes scored lowest among the drinks with enough ratings.

Keep the limits in mind. These are online orders at six stands in Georgia, South Carolina and Louisiana. Some counts are small, and we do not know exactly how the ordering system picks its "Most liked" labels.

What Food Writers Picked

We found seven 2026 reviews where a writer actually tasted 7 Brew drinks and ranked or recommended them:

• Tasting Table, Amy Bell (March 11, 2026): ranked 9 coffee drinks. Best: a Banana Bread Blondie, then White Mac Cold Brew, then an Irish Cream Blondie and the Blondie. Worst: the Brown Sugar Cinnamon Americano.
• Tasting Table, Wendy Leigh (April 4, 2026): called the Banana Bread Blondie the best 7 Brew coffee flavor, "like the very best caramelized banana bread somehow turned drinkable."
• The Daily Meal, Sarah Dealy (September 27, 2026): six drinks to order and six to skip. She ordered every drink as a small made with almond milk.
• Tasting Table, Kyle Grace Trinidad (July 21, 2026): ranked 13 7 Fizz Sodas. Best: Pixie Stick, Fruit Roll Up and Blood Orange.
• Tasting Table, Megan Hageman (September 2, 2026): ranked five fall 2026 drinks. Best: Apple Butter Chai Latte.
• Tasting Table, Angeline Stratz (September 29, 2026): compared three apple drinks. Best: Apple Butter Chai Latte, "far above both" of the others.
• Tasting Table, Megan Hageman (August 26, 2026): reviewed 7 Brew's canned coffees and energy drinks sold at Walmart.

Smooth 7

Irish cream and white chocolate with espresso and breve. It scored about 96% across 88 customer ratings, was #2 Most liked at the Walton Way stand, and is on The Daily Meal's order list. Sarah Dealy called it "smooth, creamy, and intriguing." More in our Smooth 7 guide.

A medium iced Smooth 7 is 520 calories with 51 grams of sugar and 120 mg of caffeine, according to 7 Brew's nutrition guide.

Cinnamon Roll

Brown sugar cinnamon and white chocolate with espresso and breve. The Daily Meal called it "creamy, sweet, and cinnamon-spiced." It was top 3 at two stands, though its ratings varied more than most: from 73% at the Beltline stand (19 ratings) to 97% at Charlestowne (41 ratings). See the Cinnamon Roll guide.

A medium iced Cinnamon Roll is 500 calories with 47 grams of sugar.

Banana Bread

Banana and hazelnut. The Daily Meal said the official Banana Bread "tasted just like banana bread in a cup," and it had a perfect score on its 9 ratings at the Walker stand. Our Banana Bread guide covers both versions.

Tasting Table's top coffee pick used the same two flavors in a different way. Its Banana Bread Blondie is a Blondie (vanilla and caramel breve) with banana and hazelnut added. 7 Brew's official Banana Bread is a mocha, so it is lighter and more chocolatey. To order the Tasting Table version, ask for a Blondie with banana and hazelnut.

A medium iced Banana Bread Mocha is 340 calories with 53 grams of sugar.

Apple Butter Chai Latte (Fall 2026)

Green apple and white chocolate in a chai latte, with whipped cream and Apple Butter drizzle. Two different Tasting Table writers tried 7 Brew's fall drinks in September 2026, and both picked this one first. It is a limited-time drink, and it is not in 7 Brew's October 1 nutrition guide.

The Blondie: Crowd Favorite, Split Reviews

The Blondie is the clearest case of customers and critics disagreeing. Our Blondie guide has every size and a recipe for home.

• Customers love it. It was #1 Most liked at all six stands, with 432 ratings and about 91% positive. 7 Brew calls it its most loved 7 Original.
• Tasting Table ranked it #4 of 9. Amy Bell found it creamy and smooth, but said its richness made her less likely to order it again.
• The Daily Meal said to skip it. Sarah Dealy "couldn't get past the indistinct flavor." Her drinks were made with almond milk.

Our read: the Blondie is a mild vanilla and caramel drink. If you like sweet, creamy coffee without a strong flavor, it is a safe order. If you want a flavor you can clearly taste, try the Banana Bread Blondie or the Smooth 7.

A medium iced Blondie is 480 calories with 38 grams of sugar and 120 mg of caffeine.

Coffee

Beyond the picks above, these did well:

• Brunette (hazelnut and caramel mocha): on The Daily Meal's order list. Sarah Dealy said "the flavor was bold" and the notes were distinguishable. About 91% positive across 45 ratings.
• Raspberry Truffle Macchiato (raspberry and white chocolate): The Daily Meal said it "tasted just like biting into a chocolate truffle."
• White Chocolate Mocha: about 91% positive across 126 ratings, and top 3 at two stands.
• German Chocolate: about 96% positive across 29 ratings at two stands, and #3 Most liked at Walton Way.

Cold Brew

White Mac Cold Brew (chocolate macadamia nut and white chocolate) was Tasting Table's #2 coffee drink out of nine. A medium is just 110 calories but has 246 mg of caffeine, about twice a medium latte.

Energy Drinks

We did not find a food writer who ranked 7 Brew's handcrafted 7 Energy drinks. Plain 7 Energy scored about 90% across 109 customer ratings.

Our suggestion: the Pixie Stick flavors (almond, orange and pomegranate) won Tasting Table's Fizz Soda ranking, and 7 Brew also sells a Pixie Stick 7 Energy on its regular menu. That is our own pick, not a reviewer's. Our 7 Brew energy drinks guide lists every flavor and its caffeine.

Caffeine-Free Drinks

• Pixie Stick 7 Fizz: #1 of 13 Fizz Sodas. Tasting Table said the orange and pomegranate "get a wild twist with the hit of sweet perfumed almond."
• Fruit Roll Up (strawberry and lavender): #2.
• Blood Orange 7 Fizz: #3, "easily one of the most drinkable sodas."
• Blue Pom Smoothie: 100% positive across 25 ratings at two stands.
• Strawberry Smoothie: about 95% positive across 43 ratings.

Tea, Chai and Matcha

Cloud 9 (lavender and vanilla) was The Daily Meal's pick, called "light and balanced." 7 Brew makes it as both a Cloud 9 Matcha Latte and a Cloud 9 Earl Grey Tea. A medium iced Cloud 9 Matcha Latte has only 17 mg of caffeine. The plain Chai Latte scored about 90% across 40 ratings.

Fall Seasonal Drinks

In Tasting Table's fall 2026 ranking, the Apple Butter Chai Latte came first, the Original Pumpkin Blondie Breve second and the Pumpkin Roll Shake third.

Canned Drinks at Walmart

In Tasting Table's review of 7 Brew's cans, Megan Hageman said the Pink Mermaid energy drink "might just be" her favorite energy can, and said she "would gladly pick up the Blondie or Brunette again." She found the Banana Bread can "a bit of an oddball."

Best Low-Calorie and Sugar-Free Picks

All figures below are for a medium iced drink, from 7 Brew's nutrition guide dated October 1, 2026. For every drink, see our full 7 Brew nutrition facts.

A sugar-free 7 Original is still about 400 calories. A medium iced Sugar-Free Blondie Breve is 400 calories with 6 grams of sugar, against 480 calories and 38 grams for the regular one. The calories come mostly from the breve (half-and-half), not the syrup. If you want a lighter Blondie flavor, the Sugar-Free Blondie Cold Brew gets you vanilla and caramel for 60 calories. Drinks With the Most Caffeine

All figures are for a large, from 7 Brew's nutrition guide.

A plain large Cold Brew has almost as much caffeine as anything on the menu for a fraction of the calories.

For most regular coffee drinks, the guide lists more caffeine in a frozen chiller than iced. A medium Blondie is 120 mg iced but 233 mg as a frozen chiller. Sugar-free coffee chillers and a few breves do not get that boost, and for regular 7 Energy it is the other way around: chillers have less. Our 7 Brew sizes guide shows how caffeine changes by size.

Drinks Reviewers Said to Skip

One clash worth noting: Sweet & Salty is on The Daily Meal's skip list, but customers rate it highly. It scored about 93% across 142 ratings and made the top 3 at three stands.

7 Brew Drink Ideas for Your First Order

• Start with a 7 Original. They are 7 Brew's own fan favorites. The Smooth 7 and Cinnamon Roll have the best mix of customer ratings and reviewer praise.
• Adjust the sweetness. 7 Brew lets you order 1/4, 1/2, regular or extra sweet. If a drink sounds too sugary, ask for half sweet.
• Mind the caffeine by size. For lattes, breves, mochas and 7 Originals served hot or iced, a small and a medium both have 120 mg. A large has 240 mg.

What is the best 7 Brew drink for a first-timer?

The Smooth 7 or the Cinnamon Roll. Both have strong customer ratings and were recommended by The Daily Meal. If you want the most popular drink, get the Blondie.

What is the best 7 Brew drink without coffee?

The Pixie Stick 7 Fizz Soda, which Tasting Table ranked #1 of 13 Fizz Sodas. For a smoothie, the Blue Pom and Strawberry smoothies had the best customer ratings.

Is the Blondie worth it?

Customers think so: it is the top-rated drink at every stand we checked. Two food writers were less impressed and found it mild. If you like creamy, sweet coffee, it is a safe pick.
