The Midnight Rain is blackberry and blue raspberry, and 7 Brew has sold it two ways:
- The Midnight Rain 7 Fizz Soda is on the regular 7 Fizz menu. 7 Brew describes it as "Sweet, dark berry flavor that tastes like dancing in the rain after midnight."
- The Midnight Rain 7 Energy was a featured drink earlier in 2026: "Blackberry and blue raspberry come together in our signature 7 Energy for a bright, juicy boost that's refreshing, fruity, and full of energy!" It is not on the current menu, but you can ask for the same flavors in 7 Energy.
What Is in a Midnight Rain at 7 Brew?
Just the two flavors, in either 7 Fizz or 7 Energy. Like other 7 Fizz sodas, you can top it with cream, whipped cream or cold foam, and get it iced or as a frozen chiller.
7 Brew's nutrition guide dated October 1, 2026 does not list the Midnight Rain in either version, so there are no official calories yet. For a rough idea, a medium Blood Orange 7 Fizz (orange and pomegranate) is 250 calories, and a medium Ocean Breeze 7 Energy (blue raspberry and coconut) is 240 calories with Original 7 Energy. Those are other drinks, not the Midnight Rain.
Caffeine: 7 Fizz or 7 Energy
The 7 Fizz version has no caffeine, since 7 Fizz sodas are caffeine-free.
The guide does not list the 7 Energy version either. For comparison, it lists 105 mg of caffeine for a medium of other flavored 7 Energy drinks, like the Nightshade and Ocean Breeze, and 114 mg for a medium plain 7 Energy, so expect something close to that. For the energy version, the FDA says 400 mg of caffeine a day is not generally linked to negative effects for most adults, and that medical experts advise against energy drinks for children and teens. Asking for a Midnight Rain
If it is not on your stand's menu board, ask for blackberry and blue raspberry in the base you want: 7 Fizz for no caffeine, or Original or Sugar-Free 7 Energy.
A fully sugar-free Midnight Rain is not possible. 7 Brew marks blue raspberry as a sugar-free flavor, but blackberry is not. In 7 Energy, you can still choose Sugar-Free 7 Energy as the base and ask for sugar-free blue raspberry to cut most of the sugar.
The ordering pages at the six stands we checked on October 5 and 6, 2026 did not list the Midnight Rain on its own. Before tax, a 7 Fizz soda cost $3.90 to $4.42 there and a 7 Energy $6.83 to $7.13. Our 7 Brew prices guide has the rest.
Midnight Rain vs Brew Lagoon and Nightshade
All three use blue raspberry. The Brew Lagoon is another blue-raspberry 7 Fizz, with lime and coconut instead of blackberry. The Nightshade is the energy-menu cousin: lavender, pomegranate and blue raspberry in 7 Energy. For a soda without blue raspberry, the Tiki Tango is passion fruit and pineapple in 7 Fizz. Does Midnight Rain have caffeine?
The 7 Fizz version has none. The 7 Energy version does, but 7 Brew's nutrition guide does not list how much. Other flavored medium 7 Energy drinks have 105 mg.
